Cooper began studying piano at the age of 5 with Dr. Ji Hyun Kim from Bradley University music department.  In 2023, he had the privilege to study under Professor Valerie Middleton at Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music.  He had been awarded first-place winner in numerous international piano competitions and has performed at the winner’s concert at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London England, and the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Germany.  Cooper has been actively volunteering at local retirement homes by giving piano recitals and participating in annual Christmas shows and has also performed at Dream Center fundraising events.

Cooper also enjoys playing the guitar and singing.  He likes being on the swim team and participating in swimming competitions.  In his free time, he builds Legos, robots, and is an avid reader.  He also likes the robotics, coding, and engineering class offered through Vanderbilt University enrichment program for talented youth (SAVY).
