Myla has also earned more than a dozen top awards for her solo performances and musicianship, including numerous grand prize, first prize and jury’s pick awards in various international concerto competitions, the Toby Ann Stavisky NY State Senator Award and the Black Violin Foundation James Miles Musical Innovation Award. She has performed in venues across numerous states, including New York’s own Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and David Geffen Hall.  Myla has been invited to perform in masterclasses for world-class violinists such as Midori, Stefan Jackiw, and Soovin Kim.  The coming year will bring additional performances at Carnegie Hall, international concerto competitions, and various recitals including a special Honors Recital performance for world-renowned violinist, Midori.

Myla has also received merit scholarships to attend various summer programs, including Interlochen’s Junior Advanced Strings Program where she was winner of Interlochen’s 2021 Junior Honors Recital.  This past summer, Myla enjoyed participating in the Sphinx Summer Performance Academy at Juilliard and Greenwood Music Camp, where she was Principal Second Violinist.  Regardless of the venue, Myla enjoys sharing music with her community wherever and whenever she can, from major concertos at Carnegie Hall to simple hymns at her local church, to backyards, schools, and even bedsides.  She is inspired by the way music both enhances and mirrors the beauty around us, and looks forward to continuing sharing that beauty with her community and the world.
